Problem setting up windows from the iso file&some questi
hi all
i have a problem setting up windows using the iso file created by WUC .. and have also some questions that i hope to find some answers to .. here we go : Q1: in the Driver tap .. when u click the Add button under the Driver for RAID..SCSI.. a browsing dialogue box open to search a file name : txtsetup with the type : txtsetup.oem ... what should this file contains? what's the use of this file ? does this file contains the oem info and logo path? Q2: in the hotfixes tab .. should i write the switches for the hotfixes? or just renam the hotfix to 8.3 and add it only? Q3: while setting up system it stuck on T39 while installing windows and never change even the setup screen changes with time , it took over 2 hours and didn't change , is this normal? i'm testing the software using Connectix virtual pc 5.1 .. don't know what's the problem here ? can u pleas explain why this is take place? i've already tried to restart setup many times .. it gives me the message : setup is being restarted ....... and then go to T39 and stuck there again and never changes for over 2 hours !! Q4 : as i have seen here , u answered a question about using software switches and see that u use the variable %CDROM% to set up software .. well , this means that programs will start installation from cd-rom and will not be copied to hard drive ... is this right? if the answer was right ... what about programs that needs to be decompressed first and then run the setup.exe file ... like sfx winrar archived programs .. how can we solve a problem like this ? thanks alot and hope u will answer me soon as i'm working in testing this software now and hope to finish it soon . is there any new versions , the last one i have is 0.9.7 .. thanks alot in advance best regards |

Quote:Q3: while setting up system it stuck on T39 while installing windows and never change even the setup screen changes with time , it took over 2 hours and didn't change , is this normal? i think u have slipstreamed the RVMUpdatePack1.3.1.cab to ur source cd , this is the cause of ur problem .. try to use another source without slipstreaming the RVMUpdatePack1.3.1.cab and see regards |

Re: Problem setting up windows from the iso file&some qu
nobody Wrote:Q1: in the Driver tap .. when u click the Add button under the Driver for RAID..SCSI..This file is a driver-info vor RAID-, SCSI- or another driver-controller, that windows self can't detectet. As a rule, if you don't know what that is, don't need you it too nobody Wrote:Q2: in the hotfixes tab .. should i write the switches for the hotfixes? or just renam the hotfix to 8.3 and add it only?If you wont to install all hotfixes automaticly, you need switches! 2 hotfixes, scriptde.exe (german-version) and KB892211.exe, uses switch /Q , the rest uses /passive /norestart. I mean WIN XP !!! nobody Wrote:Q3: while setting up system it stuck on T39 while installing windows and never change even the setup screen changes with time , it took over 2 hours and didn't change , is this normal? At T-39 windows try to detect of your hardware (in moment of emulated hardware from virual pc), and her have a problem. Try to change the hardware config from virtual pc ! nobody Wrote:Q4 : as i have seen here , u answered a question about using software switches and see that u use the variable %CDROM% to set up software .. well , this means that programs will start installation from cd-rom and will not be copied to hard drive ... is this right?Right !!!! nobody Wrote:if the answer was right ... what about programs that needs to be decompressed first and then run the setup.exe file ... like sfx winrar archived programs .. how can we solve a problem like this ?That is not a problem! Copy follow code as a coment in your sfx-archive and change "Setup=" vor your application! Code: ;Der Kommentar unten enthält SFX Skript Befehle! 2. start a setup file, 3. wait vor end of installation, 4. deleted again all files from tmp dir (usual) its very good thing, this winrar sfx archive !!!! PS: I hope to understand your questions. And you undersand my answers |

hi Vitali
thank u very much for answering all of my questions , very kind of u and really u got all of my questions and gave the perfect answers and this will help me so much understanding this program much more deeply . now i have another question and comment at the same time .. the program is really great but can we use it to work after nLite ? .. i mean if i used nLite to work on my source windows first with taps : remove components patches tweaks then use WUC to complete other missions .. does this work ? or there was be some problems araised here? my comment is to add patching utility and more controle on removing windows components and also tweaks to next version of this great program .. if u can give me some hints on how to get more controle using the program it'd be so kind of u thanks again and all the best of luck for u best regards |

Hi
I don't undersand how it possible: Quote:FlashGet.Step.1=""%CDROM%\Software\FlashGet\fgf.exe\" /S"This backslash is unnecessary Maybe is it a reason vor your problem! But why have you only with FlashGet this problem? I have see this backslash in every your soft !!! That is good question !!! Remove this backslash from every soft PS: You can kombine with nLite. First nLite, second WUCC ! |

hi Vitali
thank u very much for answering and correcting me .. first test was really great and i could setup 6 of 10 programs for test , even there was two of them started normally , but the any way the problems wasn't related to ur software , it was related to the switches i used . combining nlite and wuc gives me complete winxp sp1 and 10 programs : winrar spx studio ultraiso acdsee 3 kaspersky 5.153 acrobat reader 5 capture ebook workshop flashget 1.65 firefox 1.06 all in one cd with 285MB , still have a space for complete office XP with front page and around 70MB for some other programs .. that's really great .. thanks for the good work and keep going on . i got a problem using auto it and winrar archive to make an attended acrobat reader silent setup .. here's the script i've got Quote:Opt("WinWaitDelay",100) and here's the modified script after editing and before compiling it : Quote:Opt("WinDetectHiddenText",1) can u tell me what's wrong here? if u know a good source explaining how to edit the autoit script in a good way to get sure it'll work .. please guide me to it and thanks in advance best regards and all the best of luck and more developments for this nice software |

Hello!
This is an AutoIt v3 Script made for Acrobat Reader 5.0.5. I compiled the script, then I put it in the AR folder. At the "software" tab, in the WUCD Creator window,I checked "Directories" then browsed to AR folder. At the start parameters I browsed to the AR compiled script and add it.This way I did with all my favourites applications and it works. After Windows is installed all my applications are installing by themselfs. Run("AR505ENU") WinWaitActive("Acrobat Reader 5.0.5 Setup") Send("{ENTER}") WinWaitActive("Choose Destination Location") Send("{ENTER}") WinWaitActive("Information") Send("{ENTER}") FileDelete("C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop\Acrobat Reader 5.0.lnk") ;the line above deletes the AR link from desktop(for W XP) |
